New Feature for QV models (Dual Mode Exhaust without Race mode)

I just saw a news report that Alfa is rolling our dual mode exhaust without going into race mode. The article was not clear if this is going to apply to new vehicles only or would be available to existing vehicles through an update. I suspect that the number of QV vehicles totalled will decrease when drivers can have great sounding exhaust without loosing the nannies. I think this is a great idea and should have been the standard from the start.

Here is the article https://moparinsiders.com/alfa-romeo...ls-this-month/

Great idea I was amazed that it came the way it did. There is not a huge difference in volume anyway many people just open the exhaust all the time.
Another bad thing they need to change is the digital miles per hour gauge disappears in race mode! Why in the heck would they do that? Those crazy Italians

Hey... race mode is for race track. Speedometer on the track? Bah. Extra, unrequired info!

Maybe not so crazy after all.

Old eyes need all the help they can get! LOL
Yeah things like turn in entry speeds and braking zones when you are 100+mph we should be able to just wing it within +- a few mph..... while sipping a macchiato.

So, as this relates to Giulia and Stelvio, I've moved the thread to Off Topic.

And yeah, having the digital Speedo is useful on track IMO, for entry speeds and evaluating how well I did as I come out of a corner. Once you know the track, you get instant feedback at track-out as to how well you carried speed through the corner - less subjective than the old butt-o-meter, and much better than reviewing lap or sector times after the session or the following day. Having those big digital numbers in your face makes it quick and easy to glance down and back up in a fraction of a second.
