Found a 2018 4C! good deal or not?

I found a brand new 2018 coupe with all the specs I want. I thought I got a good deal until I see people are getting 20% MSRP. I am wondering if these people are getting 20% off 2016 or 2017. My car is MSRP at 76400. I negotiated $64,200. Is this a good deal?? I thought so... hmmm

Thanks!
Mike

The most important thing is getting the specs you want on a coupe as there will not be any more in the US.

15% of a new 2018 with the specs you want seems good. You could do better on a low mileage used coupe - but new has value.

$76,400 MSRP for a coupe must have about every option. New, but one model year old, I'd say that's a decent price.

Thanks for input! It's a loaded coupe for sure. Flying out next weekend to take it for a spin and hopefully bring it home.

Sounds like a good deal. The one I listed yesterday at Pollock Alfa is a 2018 coupe msrp 80,945 with online price of 65,448 (just shy of 20% off). I would expect they would still come down minimally on this price. When I bought my 2018 spider they didn't want to budge off the online price, took a little more discussion and me giving my bottom line or walk. They took my bottom number which was only 2k off the online price. This coupe has been on their lot 483 days per cargurus.

Obviously overlooked original post date. Leaving for anyone that's looking for coupe.

Unfortunately, for these dealers the used market is selling very low. Several of these cars are selling in the $40s and low $50s with hardly any miles on them. It’s hard to pay an extra $10k to $20k for a new one, when you can grab a used with 3k miles or less.

Agreed....since most 4Cs are used as weekend toys, they have pretty low mileage. Buying a used one is a way to save money and basically get a almost new car. As long as the body is good (not lots of rock chips and scrapes), I would have no issue buying a used one. Note that in much of the US.....we are just coming out of Winter when selling a sports car is really hard. Now that it is warming up the dealers might be a little less inclined to give you as good of a deal....but on the other hand if those cars have been sitting on the lot for a long time ;-)

At the end of the production I would look for bigger discounts....not like it was in 2015-16 when dealers were loath to give anything off as they were the "hot" car. I know of a couple people that paid around $100,000 for those earliest 4Cs....way over the $73,000 sticker price of a LE model than.

Yeah, that was crazy. I think prices will remain down as long as there are plenty for sale.
