Well, unfortunately, I have a project to fund and the toy has to go for now. I'm sad because I finally finished fine-tuning the suspension and the car feels great! The only issue is a small scrape on the right rear wheel I managed while parking. A picture is attached and I don't think anyone has ever noticed. I am planning on replacing the baby ASAP!

The Stradale exhaust with the Phase 2 ECU and the BMC air filter is a perfect power, drivability and sound combination!

That's funny. I just asked in the appearance section if I should do the same. My brackets are already coated but the can isn't.

Did you have to prep the muffler at all before coating it?

Do you have additional pictures?

Sorry, don't mean to hijack your for sale post.

No worries. I love the car and this forum. Sorry, will have to sell it for now.
I wrapped the can and pipe with copper exhaust wrap and then coated everything with the silicone paint made for that purpose. I just cleaned everything with a solvent to remove any grease and taped off the tips. A little bit of dynamat in key places removed all weird resonance. The tips get black carbon on them very quickly, so they may as well be painted black.

VideoDoctor - I am in the market for a used 4C at this moment. I have reviewed pretty much every car available in the country. Your car presents well, and has (for an enthusiast) a generally advantageous complement of accessories. I also rather like the madraperla color. My issue is this: All the other 2015 cars I am considering range from $44,500 to $46,000 in cost. They are virgin cars with no upgrades. The value of the upgrades must be discounted, as they are used, just like the car, and may not be appropriate for every buyer (for example, heat-taped exhaust can cause valve problems, and I dislike the blackened exhaust tips and the cut wheel). I am estimating that your upgrades cost about $4,000. If we add 40% of your total upgrade cost to the current market value of the underlying car, we get a range of $46,100 to $47,600 for your car.

I believe the above analysis is the reason you have only encountered tire kickers, instead of real buyers. Let me know if my numbers make any sense to you. I would like to purchase before Christmas - I have a 10' x 20' area under the tree reserved for my new used Alfa. Bruce 810-938-1010. Thanks!

your car for sale

I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong with the PM's, but after I send them, they disappear! There are 3 stock cars for sale at this time, all east of the Rockies, all low-mileage 2015's with warranties, and all available for retail sale from $44,500 to $46,500. I can only entertain negotiations with you if your price is in or near the range I provided in my initial post. Thanks and good luck!

Doc,

I just took a look through the 120 4Cs listed in Autotrader, and I think you will wait quite a long time to sell for $55K. I don't want to be negative or rain on anyone's parade, but the Forum is a place to get considered feedback. I suspect the mods are of no value, or even a negative for most prospective buyers. There are a lot of cars available in the mid-$40's, including a lot of white cars especially (and people are either white car people or they're not, and most are not). If you could find a buyer for $45K I think you should take it. I suspect that is even too optimistic.
