Well that sucks.
What's odd though, is that HAAS still seems to be at least the 4th fastest team, if not the 3rd because they were neck and neck with Red Bull.

I think Ferrari should just go for it, and if shit goes boom, so be it.
LOL

The forecasted upgrade date is early June at Grand Prix of Canada. Canada GP is round 8, and 1/3 of the season will have been compromised.

Source is 'PG Tech', an F1 FIA engineer who has friends still working in Maranello, and he contributes to
F Uno Analisi Tecnica (F1 Tech Analysis) on FUnoAnalisiTecnica.com

I cross check with other insider rumors, such as from Leo Terrini, who was more vague with his version of the story, but he has the biggest insider rep in Italy. He is known for getting accurate leaked info out.

Haas got their chassis setup right. Ferrari did not generate downforce needed to get tires to work. The absolutely huge gap to the front has been part chassis/aero and part engine power for Ferrari. It's why Haas, down on engine modes only, was closer to Ferrari than they could've dreamed.

(I have family in Italy, worked in Italy and Ferrari were a client, and by visiting Maranello and Modena, I learned quickly who to follow.)

EDIT: Ferrari's public position is that the problem should be isolated to Melbourne.

While I applaud you enthusiasm and don't want to get into my family's and personal connections. "I read it on the Internet" doesn't sound convincing enough to me. Just specify that in your opinion these rumors may be worth considering. I am fluent in Italian with family roots in the Milano area but that does not make me more credible

Edit to delete rambling response to @Maxster

In summary: You asked; I answered.

#whatever

When people in Maranello who work for Ferrari direct you to good sources...well, whatever.

Moving on.
