One Year Service - Can we get a thread to compare our costs and experiences

I just scheduled my one year service.

I have seen many posts on here from others who have had theirs. I have seen costs from $250 to $699 quoted.

My Service contact had no idea what to charge. He went and did two days research to figure out what he had to do and how much to charge for it.

In the end he described it as extensive, including removal of the bonnet. I told him that because of this forum I was aware of the extensive bolt tightening and untightening.

He then quoted me $853, which is by far the most I have seen on the forum so far.

I am going to give Alfa a call and complain - not on my poor service guy, but for the fact he was left to figure it all out by himself.

Before I do so, would love to collect your costs and experiences in one place to save the next ones of us who have to go through this the effort.

Additionally, I would like to have a more robust set of numbers to help me understand if my price quote is out of line or if other dealers are doing things differently.

I think that is way too expensive.
For 1 year service, I brought my own oil, my own bmc filter. The only thing I did not bring is the oil filter.
It took a couple hours as they have to update the service bulletin.
In the end, I spent something north of 100 bucks I think

Is the bolt tightening required to keep up with warranty? That's one thing I rather have not done, do not see why it is necessary. I have 7k so far and no issues period. No CEL , nada. No rattling , no water leaks. No trans problems. Knock on wood. It's my DD and has been perfect so far. Love driving it every day. I am parked every day at work next to a 2015 convertible Boxster S and 2015 911 Carrera S and my 4C looks so tiny next to them , however the 4C is unique in it's own way.

At least in my case the bolt tightening was done on Alfa's cost. I was told it was needed and some bolts needed half a turn to get to correct torque.

The service in itself was something like 375 EUR in Estonia, parts included.

I have an estimate of C$630 for the one year service (or 20,000 kms, whichever comes first). I do not know what the service entails. They said it's based on the maintenance chart in the manual...which is not with me at the moment.

Worthy of mention, is that this is the same shop who wanted to charge you 6.75 hours to install jamiealfa's suspension blocks, and that it would "void your warranty", wasn't it? And the same ones who installed your spacers without concern, but would not do so for Blackpenquinn because it would "void his warranty"?

Wanna bet, they tell you that if you don't conform to the letter of their interpretation of the service manual, it will . . . wait for it . . . "void your warranty"?

I think I'm going to give Windsor a call come spring.

Oh I fully expect that my service appointments will void BlackPenquinn's warranty

My oil change was $200. The lower engine cover had to be removed.

The major service was $800 or $900. This included the oil change. It took all day. The design type of this car causes the nuts & bolts to loosen.

That's only because they disassembled all the 4C's in the factory in an attempt to find Mario's pencil (let's open that can of worms for the forum noobs).
