Nothing...I’m an ironed on, one-eyed, uncompromisingly biased, alfanatic. I did have a Giulietta that I was trying to turn into something enjoyable to drive. I ordered my 4C and rid myself of it. I would still be waiting for the current Giuliettas’ replacement. I have a Sud and 147twinny which are still fun but far from performance machines. My cravings for performance would simply be safisfied with my motorcycles. ...I still have my ‘95 Guzzi Carb Sport ‘cause I’m waiting for Guzzi to produce a road version of the MGS-01 or similar. I don’t think I’ll live to see it. I’m also a card-carrying Guzzi looney.

Would have kept my old 1970 ALFA round tail spider....would still have it if I had the garage space for both. When I got my 4C the Giulia Q hadn't been announced.... but even so....I prefer the 4C.

I was saving towards a 911, which Iíll probably still get at some point. But glad I decided to jump on the 4C when a reasonable deal on one came up. I donít think I would be having nearly as much fun with a 911 right now as I am this car.

Most likely nothing, or at least any purchase would have been significantly delayed. I'm a VERY practical person and that usually wins most mental battles. I enjoyed cars and driving, but was never really obsessive (usually just BBC Top Gear). I loved the beauty of the 4C AND the PRICE. It was the first time that reasonable price, carbon fiber tub, and beauty was combined in one package. It really ticked all of the boxes for my practical mind. It really kick started the desires, till I bought it. Now after 3 years of ownership I have become QUITE obsessive over cars (wife would call it a little insane).

I'd have bought a GT4 and was at the point of prioritising 6 I'd picked off main dealer sites until the 4C threw a curve ball. Plus it was half the price of the Porsche!

May sound strange but Subaru BRZ or Miata. I am tired of high power muscle sedans fully loaded with options to resemble your living room. These two cars are the closest in spirit to the 4C and vintage sports cars. Lightweight, simple and fun. Not crazy about the late model 991. Talk about super size me, they are getting really big... and the new M4 looks like the old 5 series.

Yes yes yes totally! An air-cooled 911, primarily an SC or middie, has to be the closest substitute. 3.2s, while great cars, were already too bourgeois to compare to the 4C.

Even better, a middie with a carburated early SC engine. You can squeeze out 240hp out of that block. Middies came out of the factory at less than 2,500 lbs weight.
