Any idea how to deal with scratches on the clear wrap? Cleaning off some bird crap which hardened left a few marks.

if it’s XPEL then I was told a hot hair dryer, or even hot water would make them better. But that could just be a sales gimmick

I wished I had mine installed. The front of my car looks like the surface of the moon after couple of trackdays...

Park it in the sub for a while and see if they disappear.

As @DerwoodEE noted, XPEL and other PPFs are not without issues. It really comes down to two issues, the installer quality and edge details. Most installers get the precut sheets, and this means the edge of the film is a few millimeters from the actual edge of the panel. Over time, dirt can build up and make the seams visible. I am attaching two photographs that show what I am talking about. Given how much I have abused my car on track, I am very very willing to put up with these minor blemishes. In fact, most seams are nearly invisible unless you get the light at just the right angle.

Both Xpel and Suntek say that if you get fine scratches....leaving it out in the sun or using a hair dryer will self heal it. I know it does work as I tried a sample piece not on the car and used a stainless steel wire brush to scratch it up. A hair dryer restored it. Not sure if that would work if you had deep scratches but consider that if you had deep scratches in the paint itself you would be looking for major paint repair. I would rather replace a panel of PPF than have to repaint that same panel and trying to match the paint....especially on tri coat white or tri coat Competizion Rosa.

I had SunTek Ultra installed over all painted surfaces as well as the carbon fiber around the windshield and the the carbon fiber you climb over to get into the car. All of the SunTek Ultra was cut from a flat sheet. I also had CQuartz Finest Reserve applied over every external surface (including the PPF and the wheels). Cost OTD was $6500k. That was a huge investment but I know Italian paint is weak and my car has the Rosso Competizione paint so it's nearly possible to match with touch up. For that matter it's even very difficult for a reputable paint shop to spray properly. I plan to keep it long term so it was worth every penny. I knew going in it was something that "had" to be done so I just considered it part of the purchase price when deciding whether to buy the vehicle.
