Delivery Yesterday

Flew down to Ft. Lauderdale yesterday and took delivery of the Ď17 coupe in basalt gray.

What a blast! It was everything I expected and more. Iím absolutely in love with this little beast! This car has so much character. The attention it gets is pretty amusing. People videoing as it goes by. Gawkers everywhere. A beautiful young woman in a new Jetta had to get my attention driving next to me so she she could give me a thumbs up. That was fun.

Left Ft Lauderdale and drove to Tampa to see a friend from high school that I hadnít seen in 30 years. Just recently reconnected and I didnít tell him why I was visiting. He was blown away. He is car nut too so we had a lot of catching up to do.

So Iíve put 900 miles on it yesterday and today. Stopped for the night with 250 miles before Iím home.

One little issue that maybe others have had. The drivers side mirror seems a little loose. At freeway speeds it is jittery. Not the housing but the mirror itself.

One question for owners: How do I get this stupid grin off my face?

More pictures when I get home.

That grin...well I only drive mine on weekends, the grin is gone by mid-week and then it's back come weekend and take it out for a drive again.

Congratulations wardog,

Congratulations on your 4C and look forward to hearing more of you and your 4C getting to know each other.

You will be wearing that grin every time that you drive the 4C. It's like having a favourite child/grandchild - they can do no wrong and even if they do, you quickly forgive them.

Have fun mate.

Cheers,

Alf.

Garage
Have the mirror looked at by your local Alfa tech when you get home.

As for the grin, cannot help you there. Botox perhaps? 4 years and I have yet to doff mine.

Congratulations!

Congrats. Was that the 4C at Rickcase? That's a real good dealership with great maintenance prices. You were very closed to Lamborghini of Broward. Yesterday they had Supercar Saturday and they had 3 4Cs there. Two of them had a bunch of mods. Enjoy the car!

Yes, Rick Case. They were good to deal with. They had an 8C in the showroom too. I had never seen one of those in person.

I was already in Tampa by Friday night but the Supercar Saturday sounds like a great event.

I was continually amazed by the attention this car gets. It even turned the heads of some uniformed Scientologists in Clearwater Beach.

Congrats on the purchase!

I actually went back and forth with Rick Case on this 4C, but the deal never materialized.

The side view mirror issue is something I noticed too when I picked mine up a few days ago in Southern CA.

Enjoy in good health!

Congrats! Enjoy the car.

I actually had a negative experience with Rick Case.

I went there to check out the 4C and asked the salesman if I could go for a test drive. He told me that the car wasn't available for a test drive and I could check back in a few weeks. He acted as if I wasn't a serious buyer even though I was.

Then I asked him if he could have a 4C shipped from another dealership to Rick Case and I would purchase from them. I had researched cars around the country and spoke with a few dealerships that had the options I was looking for. The guy sat down at his PC and said there weren't any in the country with the options I was looking for. Flat out lied to me. A week later I purchased the car out of state and had it shipped to me.

Also the other day I called Rick Case to ask for the price of an oil change. The guy on the phone asked if I bought the car from them. I told him no and his response was $259.99. The dealership in West Palm Beach told me $124.95.
