Alfa Owners: Looking for a few more Alfas to join us on Saturday at Cars and Coffee at Hershey Hill Climb event. Or, as the proper people call it, 'The Grand Ascent'
We've been invited to Cars and Coffee at the Hershey Elegance/Hill Climb on Saturday morning, June 8th. In addition to the informal car show, we'll be able to watch the hill climb, which should be fun. If you plan to go, please let me know.
If you arrive before 9am, the $10 entry fee will be waived.
Cars and Coffee at the Elegance Saturday, June 8th, 2019
An Invitation:
This June the Elegance at Hershey will be hosting its third Cars and Coffee on Saturday June 8th
.
This year we are reaching out to Car Clubs with an invitation to join us for the day’s activities.
For those Clubs who can confirm members who will be participating in advance we will provide
dedicated field space for the Club’s cars and signage.
The Cars & Coffee Event:
The location of the event is on the lower field behind the Elegant Hotel Hershey
The event is scheduled from 8:00 to 1:00 pm with gates opening at 7:30 and with
participants staying as long as they please
The Cars & Coffee event is held coincident with The Hershey Grand Ascent, a hill climb
featuring historic race vehicles. C&C participants can watch the Ascent and wander the
paddock area at no additional charge.
Also, again this year, we will have a display of contemporary race cars
Expect the usual donuts and coffee, food offerings, music, goodie bags, and a raffle.
Admission to the event is $10 per car arriving by 9:00 or $10 per person after 9:00am
Why not join your fellow Club Members in caravanning to the event, displaying your beautiful
cars, chatting with fellow owners, and enjoying a day with something for all automobile
enthusiasts.
If you have any questions, your Chairman, President, or Event Planner should be able to help
you. Or, call 610 823 8130 at any time
Will check with The Evil One to see if she's interested. The challenge will be her getting up early so can be there early. One of us is up much much earlier in the morning than the other. Other challenge is that there are ... people there.
Edit. Evil One is willing to get up early. What time need to be there? Couple hours from here so need to plan for when to get on the road.
Sorry could not make this and I totally missed the thread. We had scheduled maintenance at work.
Hope it was worth it.
I at least got to watch F1 Qualifying live.
This was a great day. Minimal sleep the night before and early morning to get there on time. I entered the even via a closed road (hey he moved the cones for me without question). Came through the paddock backwards to arrive at cars and coffee.
Met a couple of other 4C owners (great guys). Wide variety of cars out there and many people to talk to. What a great crowd of friendly people. Watched hill climb for a while before heading back to cars and coffee for another round of looking at cars and talking to folks. Only one Ferarri there, she commented on how Alfa copied the yellow stitching from her car (believe was 458/488 but there are just too many models).
Attached is a very boring 7 minute video from the car's dashcam for the entry to exit which lasted little over 2.25 hours. Very warm out there and with some of the meds evil one is on couldn't stay in sun for much longer (double lung transplant 15 years back due to cystic fibrosis).
Was great to meet you Philster and the gentleman from Maryland in the white spider. Was a great day to be out there.
Neglected to add the video out the back window. Again at 20x regular speed.
Do we have any 4C owners in New England/Boston metro? I’ve actually lived here for a bit but haven’t been as active on here.
Where are the good cars and coffees? What are your favorite drives? Any interest in New England meet ups, etc?
Just trying to feel out who’s here. I used to live in...
Hey all
I just wanted to put this one out there since I've seen multiple ask, several comments regarding them, etc.
Steve and Paul at Tracktime Performance are absolutely awesome. If you're on the 4C platform and don't want to go to your dealer anymore, don't hesitate to call/email them for...
Has anyone heard of or used TrackTime Performance? I spoke with one of the owners and someone with a 4C he did work on. They spoke highly of him and he sounded knowledgeable.
It looks like at least 3 of us 4c owners will be there. Anybody else planning on going?
