I bought this 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C LE #253 to enjoy at Track Events at Grand Bend Raceway on Ontario’s West Coast. Thanks to Kevin and Colin for answering numerous question, Matt at Alfa9 Supply and Rudi at Gale Motorsport for suggestions and excellent service. I will soon be 71 so the Covid19 Virus has resulted in me staying at home to reduce the risk to my family. I have gathered the car and parts after shopping from home. I own a Honda Car Dealership in Chatham so this car will be The Honda House Used Special to promote the Used Vehicle Division. Honda Platinum Technician Jamie is now learning and preparing this 4C by installing GMS Rear Suspension Arms, GMS Front Caster Camber Blocks, from Alfa9 Tarox Brake Rotors, Tarox Brake Lines,Tarox Brake Pads, Hoses and Advan 17/18 Wheels with Hankook RS4 Tires for now. For right now I will run it with the stock ECU, stock tune and stock exhaust. I hope to start back On Track in August.

Welcome, John!

Congratulations on grabbing a lovely Launch Edition 4C

Looking forward to seeing this car pass me on track! ;)

I know that you will have done lots of research on your purchase, but while you are waiting on getting it back on the track there are lots of posts and videos on this board to inspire your. Perhaps even some you have not seen yet! :) And if you have any questions, including installation, you’ll find the answers here (or a bunch of smart people willing to help).

Once you get to the canard (“dive plane”) installation, please let me know how that’s done. Something I’m considering.

Hope that you get lots of time to enjoy your new car this season!

Jaime must be excited, regardless age (plus points if Jaime is a female mechanic! That'd be awesome, something rare that I'm hoping will change sooner rather than later)... The 4c feels like one of those free plastic puzzles that once you "unlock" the secrets of the materials and why things were made the way they were, any mechanic will LOVE working on it, like an unnecessarily complicated Lego without instructions. I do now, with only the drivetrain (still all OEM, yet) and ECU code left out (I'm 100 hardware guy, as my software knowledge stopped at using a scientific calculator and a DMM, maybe installing cracks for video games).
See if Jaime will make some install videos to share here?

Congratulations to Kevin for posting his best lap time tonight on the Technical Circuit at Grand Bend with a great 73.66 Lap.

I ordered another set of Advan Wheels from Matt at Alfa9 Supply, this set with the 18x8.5 Rear. I also ordered Matt’s license plate mount. I wish he had COVID-19 Vaccine for sale.

4C Coupe For Sale listings are very low in Ontario tonight.

Grand Bend Raceway is running an open lapping day on Civic Holiday Monday, August 3, from 11am to 5pm.
Advance registration only, and should be up on their website by tomorrow.
The summer is flying by fast and this is one thing that you can do safely in isolation!!!

Running the modified circuit.

Come join me if you can!

Kevin - I will be picking up my 4C within the next couple of weeks to bring home to London. I hope to get back On Track late August early September in order to get some laps to record a baseline in preparation for 2021. I need to learn to drive a 4C. Looking forward to the learning curve as well as the challenge. Thanks for sparking my interest in this car.

Great to see another youngster tracking another 4C (I will be 73 in October) 😁
Looking forward to stories and videos. 4Cs have an advantage in braking and cornering so that is where you should focus. Have fun and keep the rubber side down!

And I thought that at 69 yrs. old, I was one of the oldest guys on this forum! Wrong again!!! But ya gotta admit my number is a good one!!! LOL!!!
Totally agree that the young ones are going to have crazy fun learning the 4C drive.
Still can pleasure without Viagra and the driving the Alfa just may keep me going without erection meds for another 5 years, hopefully much more!!! 🤣

Don't undersell yourself or the 4C. I reckon it's taken 20 years off, so that makes it good until around 90 for you!

I have finally picked up the car and preregistered for the Wednesday August 26th Grand Bend Raceway Track Night. Looking forward to gathering Baseline Data. I will use my old Aim Solo as well as test my Racepak Vantage CL2. Now I have to figure out how to get my stuff into the tiny trunk.

I'm going to try and make that Wednesday night. Let's get Kevin out and make it a 4C night!

Also while I'm there I can show you the secret technique of packing a 4C trunk for the track. lol

I hoped to have the front wrapped but they are booked into September. I am lowering the seats in order to have more helmet clearance. I am figuring out how to get my gear into the trunk but I am open to suggestions.

Colin and Kevin, I hope you guys can make it. Do you know any other 4C owners who would like to join us? I would suggest to preregister, the last Track Night was Sold Out.

Colin - Think Track Map Videos.

On Track last night Wednesday August 26th at Grand Bend Raceway. Thanks to Timothy Felsky for the pictures. First time on the regular Technical Circuit with the 4C. My best lap was a 74.6 with a predicted best of 73.5 on Hankook RS4 tires. Last year I ran a 70. 0 with my Boxster 718 GTS with PDK on Pirelli Trofeo R Tires.

Three of us with 4Cs are returning next Wednesday September 2.
