Why is it so hard to get any information:huh: Keeping your customers in the loop is all,
LE Ambassador where are you?
Very poor buisness model, cant just rely on the "Mystique" of the brand, if I hadn't fallen in love with the 4C LE I'd be long gone

Because they are an Italian company and operate as such. The left hand NEVER knows what the right is doing ;)

What exactly do you want to know right now Virul? Lol.

You honestly expect AR to give you constant updates?

In a Word YES P; 4C AR springboard for the brand, if I did this in my buisness I wouldn't have £50 plus K to splash out.

They are a car company, not a PR agency. It's August. Everything in Italy is shut. Take a leaf out of their book and relax. ;)

I think they are gearing everything up in the US for the LA Auto show. It's unfortunate because no US dealers know anything about what's going on.

I do blame Alfa for this. Poor planning. They should be bringing into the loop US Alfa fans before the launch. It seems more like a cold shoulder.

I am sorry but I find all of this pretty amusing. Has anyone considered the possibility that all of this "lack of information" is partly due to a lot of decisions not being made yet but more importantly as a marketing objective?
If everyone had all the possible information needed on the car but still could not order it for another few months....people would stop talking about it and kind of forget it...the buzz would die out.
In the US they haven't introduced the car yet and still haven't set up the dealers but everyone wants to be able to walk into a Fiat dealer there and just order a car???

The more than can keep the hype going giving out very little information once in a while the longer people will talk about the car....at least until the car is officially released, sold and driven.

The reason why no news had came, it's only because of transport time to US.
There are minimum three month for a car to go to USA by boat.
I think AR want to deliver all the 1000 LE at the same time to make the buzz.
If they don't deliver US at the same time as Europe, people in US will be upset to have it after all the world. That will be not good for the AR coming back in US market.

So we just have to wait, Launch Edition are finished to build since 2 month, just wait, we will drive them soon :)

I don't think a unified delivery is on the cards.

The LE's were/are scheduled for an end of Sept delivery in mainland Europe and Dec 15th in the UK. Sth Africa and Australia (allegedly) is sometime in Jan/Feb 2014.

Lorenzo Ramaciotti at Alfa Romeo Centro Stile and team came up with a global masterpiece in the 4C, global being the word, don't spoil it with lack of PR, whole of Alfa Romeo can't be on their holidays can they??

seems logical to bring track experience forward, dont fancy icy/rainy track in February
Virul

PS. do you think AR read the forums:exclamation:

What information exactly are you expecting from them right now that by not releasing they are potentially ruining the market for the 4C?

I would expect at this point to at least know the US price and ideally the after LE options and prices. The dealers are clueless and haven't even signed their franchise agreements yet. The speculation is from $50k to $90k which is a huge spread to the car buying public.

I ordered an Elise in 2004 when Lotus returned to the US. The marketing hype was huge with cars selling at 30% premiums and in that case you could go on a website and configure the car you wanted with prices and everything. It was amazing just like a real car launch...

The scariest thing about that is if Lotus can do it and Alfa can't we could be in serious trouble in NA.... Lol

AR said countless times the 4C US details will be made available in LA..

And why bring the track experience forward when they actually want people to own their cars before giving the advanced driving experience.

What's the point of going for it, then you don't have a car to try/use it on?

Virul I will ask again. What exactly do you want Alfa to tell you now? Oh we all on holiday.. The end? Lol

Lol..

I'm sure we would all want that. But I'm happy it's quiet.

Get on with running AR and building our cars instead of talking to the press or constantly giving 4C buyers updates.

Virul.. In a few months you will have your car and you will be happy as a pig in Sh!t..

In the meantime.. Relax, have a few beers and look at your scale model.

Nearly bought Jaquar F type, (Indian/UK company) dealers very knowedgeable (all over you like a cheap suit), test drives open days tv hype
brochures definitive on all models, vast option choices, I could go to factory to see my car come through, could drive it home.

Looked at new R8 tv ad brilliant, (Audi only sell 20 or so in uk, customer experience at dealers supreme.
Porsche the same
Aston Martin the same.(have a DB9)you wait till Mazda have the 4C Spyder.(have MX5)
Bugatti Veyrons to Top Gear track as well as
Ferrari/Lamborghini I could go on.
The whole customer experience is the whole trip. LUV Alfa Romeo,4CLE stunning, fan since 67
sad they are missing good PR .
Bring track day forward, if you can drive on track you can drive on the M25,
while we are waiting:(
Virul
PS if it wern't for Perreby and others on forums and YouTube not a lot from AR

Virul.... Are all those cars are launched, sold, built and delivered!
You expect Alfa to have you test drive a car that hasn't been built? Or give you the options list with prices of a car that is not for sale yet?
Which other car company sends you a 1/18 model while you wait, organises a track day for you after delivery of your car, lets you "choose" your chassis number...and the list can go on.
Have they made mistakes? Obviously yes but they all do and that's life.
I could give you a long list of issues and problems with PR and dealers of most car makers including Porsche, Land Rover, Ferrari, Jaguar....
I have had my fair share of cars in the past 20 years and I have learned that one way or another they are all very similar.
Have a look at the various forums of most big brands like Ferrari, Porsche, etc and look at the complaints of users about dealerships, PR and others.

You have to remember 2 things IMO:
- It's a specialist car that hasn't even been delivered to ANY dealer yet and they have just started to finish the production of the first examples to be sold.
- It is still Alfa and NOT Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, etc.... They are a producer of mass market cars and the 4C as great as it is, is a car that is worth £40k (apart from a few LE editions...)

Last but not least... Just as a little example of how good other Manufacturer / dealers are: I got to find out about most options for my California from other users on a forum when ordering it as my dealer didn't know much (and I am talking about the biggest official Ferrari dealer in the UK).

I understand they pulled out of the launch at the LA auto show. Recent press release on debuts from the show does not mention Alfa. Was just at the Monterey historics and despite a number of historic alfa's on the track racing, nothing from the company. New C7 vette however was on display big time. About same cost and pretty amazing performance. The new one has better styling, elegant interior and under 4 sec 0-60. Oh, and the headlights look really nice. :)
