Wow I am late to the party but that is bitchin! I am afraid to ask for pricing estimate... Do you have a weight estimate? What will the shroud be made of for the final design?
Only thing that bothers me (and I could be wrong) are the arrangement of vents. They look like they imply different combinations of flow direction; top/bottom and front/back.

final design would be great in carbon fiber, but will be more expensive of course, so for right now it is plastic with carbon fiber water transfer, which will be applied soon. I am hoping to keep the weight similar to the original with maybe a little extra. The vents are to help air flow, but lets be honest most of it is just for looks and hope to keep enough air flow to the engine. My goal is to put a heat thermometer in the bay with both covers and see if its similar at least and does not over heat engine. I can always add more cooling areas.
already 2 steps ahead of you...I am thinking of hiding the parking brake under the arm rest, with a compartment for phone and charger in arm rest. The arm rest lifts up with parking brake to engage. all leather wrapped, remove all switches and replace with aluminum ones and have a glass top.

Personally I love mine , the carbon graphics , the carbon coolant tank and the exhaust cooling duct polished chrome changed the whole look, but still that v8 cover would look awesome through the window,
But definitely I’d have all the black of that plastic cover in carbon fibre weave or dip and the red and inlets a bit more real appearing

That’s one sweet looking engine cover. Love the red centre highlight. Red centre...sounds like something Aussies can relate to. Holding my breath regarding price...but it still needs to be light event if it’s not really made of carbon fibre.
I had my interior trim dipped in Carbon look 20 years ago. After a year, they started to crack and I assume it was due to the cold in MA. But 20 years has pass, and i hope they won't crack under the engine room temperature
