As some of you know I started an engine cover concept a while back and had it on hold because I needed to invest in some tooling costs. I have made some updates to the design so it is a little more functional and less fake parts.

Updates-
-uses stock oil cap location (instead of a fake one)
-cut back on covering the whole engine bay, so its a little bigger than stock but not much bigger. this allows for the air flow to not be trapped under the cover. Also allows access to fluids and battery.

below is my best guesstimate for what I can sell it for with a minimum of 10 units sold.

price- 1,699 + shipping
materials- autoclave carbon fiber twill with CNC aluminum parts and anodized-
fits both spyder and coupe.

Say it improves fuel economy, paying for itself over time and saving the planet. Theoretically true to some small degree if it’s lighter than stock but she will never know the awful truth anyway, that it is PURE vanity… that’s stays here 😉

 

I want either this engine cover or the Zender, I like the look of this one better than the Zender, and I think I may receive this one way before the Zender. I'm in

 

I do like the zender cover as well, my only problem with it is the red part is just painted I believe, where mine is aluminum and anodized. I could actually make it cheaper by just doing a painted version all in carbon and remove the aluminum, but I really like the aluminum look compared to just painted carbon.

I agree, but I have issues with symmetry and the engine is off center and kind of in an odd spot, so looking through the rear glass makes my head hurt lol. but I understand the logic. I wish there was parts that could improve the look, but only wires too look at-

I am waiting to pass 10 on the votes, based on experience not everyone comes through when it comes time to purchase. so it is better to have a few extra just in case.

 

would you sell/license the design files so we could produce our own?

Usually I vomit when I see the mods people do to our cars, but this is top quality. I LOVE the way it looks when the rear glass is down.

Manufacturing is 30 days. then factor in 1 week for shipping to myself and quality control the parts. then I can start shipping them out to you.

Yes it does, cover is actually lower than stock cover. But I will check the part for fitment as soon as I get the first one in.

What is the deposit value? Edit: Nvm, I assume you'll send a deposit request. I sent you my information.

 

attached are some CAD images of the design. as you can see the back side of the design slopes down like the stock cover and has a round cutout that leads to the air inlet for the turbos. its a 3 part set, oil cap is only shown for placement as you will see your stock one. The cutouts in the front will expose the fluids on the left. the bracket under the carbon mounts to the motor.

My 4C's still bone stock, but I think you may start me down the road to modding, because I definitely want that engine cover.

I did take some inspiration from Pagani on this one! and Ferrari

 

This is stunning, Beau. As is typical for your work, your final product exceeds my wildest dreams. If I weren’t going the route of full racecar, I’d be SO in.


I vouch for the world class quality of Beau’s products as I have his AC controls. His things look even more incredible in person than they do in the pics and renderings. 10/10 recommend and I can’t wait to see what you come up with next!!

Email sent. I do have a question though. How much clearance is there between the rear edge of the engine cover and the forward edge of the trunk compartment? In other words, does the cover end before or after the ECU?

 

cover ends after the ECU, so you cant see it when its on. Do you have something sticking out of the ECU top?
