I had a front (passenger) lower ball joint fail at 29,000 miles (2016 Coupe). Replacement was pretty straight forward. I am sure I will be replacing the others soon. Typical symptoms of the failure were creaking when going over bumps and then after a few hundred miles a clunk when driving into my driveway. I was a little bit in denial as failure at this mileage seems unusual.
There was no visible external damage so I cut the dust seal off and this is what I found. Clearly there was a failure of the lubrication.... not completely obvious why however. I will say the new joint is great and it is nice not to hear that squeak!
