I got my 4c about a year ago now and ever since I got it I’ve always wanted to replicate seen through glasses 4c however I have a basalt grey car and don’t know if the gold will go with the grey (planning on respraying the OEM wheels gold)

Thoughts?

Just got back from powder coating guys.
Don’t do your wheels “Triple bronze” by Prismatic powders, unless you actually wanted metallic brown. I would suggest they rename it “Metallic poo” to best describe it.

The fellas were like oh man and I was like what do you care? Your getting paid!
They were saying try them on the car, see it in better light blah blah. I said f that, redo them a bronze you KNOW is bronze not brown. They showed a picture of some wheels they did, looked good I said ok drove off pissed off.
They had said in first place he would do a test card to check and just did the wheels anyway, no test and now look.
What a $hit show that sounds like. Things like that do my noggin in.

Hope you get it resolved to your satisfaction.

Cheers,
Hedge

Saw that car at The Alfa Workshop this week. Has a 2 litre conversion, too, I think.

Gold looks good on the red and white..

On the grey it looks terrible if you ask me, don’t do it

I agree gold looks good on red and white and probably black. On silver or grey, if wheels painted the same color as the car it looks really good....earlier in this post there is an example of matching paint/wheels. My neighbor and fellow 2015 LE owner with Rosso Red twin of mine has his wheels painted gold....very striking look. I only hold off as I want to keep my LE as close to stock as possible or easily put back to stock down the road (save all parts). You do have to be careful when painting wheels on a silver or grey card as it can really make the car stand out in a bad way. I saw a Ferrari with silver paint and fluorescent orange wheels that was hideous....but if it is your car you can do anything you want I guess.
Ordered this powder Friday. Hopefully will be here Monday or Tuesday.
It’s a candy that goes on either silver or chrome base. The guys are doing test card both ways so I can choose.
Hopefully will be worth the grief in the end. The “Dark Silver Sparkle” on the winter set look amazing so should be happy in the end :)

It’s a Lamborghini colour. Many thanks to Mr Floro for posting a link to it somewhere.

Of course I won’t be saying if it turns out to look pants 🤣

That will look amazing. If I hadn’t already ordered the melted bronze powder coat I would do that and will if I’m still not happy. Here’s a few of a wheel in melted bronze.

You can see the difference between the two wheels better in this pic. One is more gold, the other more bronze..

It's quite difficult to judge the colour(s) though, without tyres &/or them being attached to the car.

I was hoping they would have called to say they are done, but no, still waiting anxiously like an expectant father lol

Just saw the “melted bronze”. Nothing like bronze. Absolutely horrible grey brown.
I am doing it the same Lambo Imola bronze as hedge after all. What a joke.
What a PITA. Sounds like shoddy service, to be sure.

Rubbish pic - & the car/light is filth(y) - but here's mine:

No it’s not them providing the powders. The ones at fault are Prismatic powders whose internet pictures look far better than the actual powders.
I’m letting them get the Lamborghini Imola themselves from the same place I linked you to in the first (expletive) place.

Going to Alfaworks in the morning on my winter set. Hope it snows.
