As of 4/17/2023 - the group buy remains open to new orders. Nothing has changed from the original Group Buy and orders happen every month. Please PM me if interested in ordering.

Updates:

If new to this thread - the relevant info is in Post 1 (this one) and then starts again HERE

EDIT -
Please PM me Name, Address, Email, phone #, Wheel Color and size. I am not sending this information immediately but some updates may come over email (I think we have many people on here that don't check the forum often).

Where we are:

So, essentially what started as a set of these wheels for myself and one for someone else developed into a group buy opportunity. ~6 months and discussions with two dozen suppliers, factories, etc. I think we've cracked it.

The Wheels:

Sample Set Inbound:

Furniture Rim Silver Bicycle part Nickel

Furniture Rim Bicycle part Spoke Silver

Circuit component Cylinder Gas Cable Nickel

Styles:

Gabriella:

Stefania:

Tekla:

Wheel Specs

Wheels are fully forged 6061 Aluminum using a 12k lb press (research other wheels, this is the high end of "best practice" IMHO).

17 x 8 et 30 front
18 x 9.5 et 31 rear

OR

18 x 8 et 30 front
19 x 9.5 et 31 rear

Or

19 x 8 et 30 front
20 x 9.5 et 31 rear

This works out to ~16mm spacer front and ~31mm spacer rear, gives a really nice flush aesthetic.

Note - Pricing reflects CC payment, inclusive of 3% processing fee

Weight

The weight in green is the complete, painted wheel on a scale - I left the modeled weight on there so that you can compare and set expectations appropriately regarding the modeled weights for the other styles

18/19:

The 18/19 set is 13.7 lbs lighter than a set of stock five hole wheels, despite being 1" wider front and rear.

17/18:

The 17/18 set is 8.4 lbs lighter than a set of stock (coupe style) 17/18 wheels, despite being 1" wider front and 1.5" rear.

Finish/Colors

Tons of options (more to come)

We are pretty close to twins aren't we. The only obvious difference is my wheels are gloss and yours satin. Whats your trunk lip?

Stefania 18/19 brushed light gold sitting on Continental 225/40/18 & 255/35/19. The only thing I don’t know is what finish I have. When i initially placed my order in late December / early January, I asked for the satin finish. Then 2 days later I changed my mind and asked for gloss and let it alone. Either way, I like them and shop guys called them the “most sexy wheels alive“. Thanks @John4C

That’s gloss. The website doesn’t change so your shipping notification still said Satin but your order was gloss (and the pictures are clearly gloss).

They look great.😁

Youre making me want some Stefania, lol

Mines still stuck at customs 🥲 had to push my tire mounting appointment to later next week. The car is going into the body shop next Tuesday for a couple of days for some custom work, but I'm hoping to have the wheels on by end of next week 🤞

I’m hoping for good news Monday/Tuesday. I was going through this with them in detail last night. There are customs issues in three different countries right now 🤦🏻

NOVA - as in Nothern VA? If so, where are you having the tires mounted?

I use ASAP Tires. They come to your house and mount them for you. I've been using them for the past 6+ years.

I didn't even know this was a thing!🤔

I’ve been prioritizing other things above new tires. But soon. I think those brushed raw wheels are going to hit different than anything else so far.

It’s possible if there’s enough demand for it. The challenge with the OEM style is it kind of needs to be flat by design. If people are serious I can write up what I mean.

Idk I have a kind of neat idea for it that could be cool actually. It would be a little different though.

Again, is this something people want? It’s possible but I didn’t expect there to be a ton of interest for it. Is the desire a strict adherence to the OEM one (including the supporting material between circles that’s not longer needed) or a reinterpretation that would have a bit more depth? I actually think the OEM wheel is directional. Our wheels aren’t actually made to be directional because that would be expensive for an OEM to do. I almost think a neat version of that wheel would be one that accentuates that design element and build on it (on a wheel that’s actually directional).

See what I mean:

wave flows with direction of car

This has actually always bothered me about the OEM wheels. They are directional but Alfa didn’t follow through on the design and just gave us non-directional, directional wheels

OEM Tele-dial style? DM me what you had in mind (y)
How difficult is it to do one-offs for different cars? I thought part of the challenge with the 4C was making sure that your various sizes/designs clear the brake calipers and shocks. If I say, hey, i've got a ___ Racecar and I want 16"x12" wheels with 9 1/2 spokes, isn't that a ton of work for one set? I had an s2000 racecar and wheel choices were pretty cheap and plentiful. The 4C is hamstrung because of the 5x98 and the stagger and the need for 5 hole style. I would love something more stylish for my SM racecar but with wheels that ARE going to get beat up, I can't imagine the price would make sense?

Yes. I think more people may be interested on a set of oem looking wheels “on steroids” 😝
This way we won’t need to use spacers, and keep the factory look, an important aspect for some (I believe)

If you’ll do the measurements, which that S2k person did, I’ll make you the wheels. You’re right that it is more work but I’m usually doing these for people who already bought Alfa wheels and I know will help me out. That person got their s2k wheels about a week ago and blasted them everywhere such that I’ve already sold 3 more sets of s2k race car wheels, so it’ll be worth the investment in the end. If you’re serious about wheels for your race car DM me. 👍🏻

I have a OEM width fitment already. It’s not the OEM style teledial though. No one has been serious enough about that to want to buy it. If you do, DM me and we can design something 👍🏻
