@RICO4C , Did you have your aircon turned on? The aircon clutch has a distinct rattle when the aircon is operating.

 

Yes I did, however it was on the whole time. It seems odd that it would suddenly start making tapping noises especially coming from the engine, but I don’t know this car well so Idk

 

Sounds normal to me. Not really sure what I am listening for. The mechanical tapping could be the high pressure fuel pump and that is normal.

 

It’s very faint, it was much easier to hear in person. It sounds almost like it’s in the background in the video. I guess for now until I can get a better video I shouldn’t be worried I guess

 

If it does it again, I’ll try to get a better video cause it didn’t capture it well enough, but you can hear it slightly. It’s almost like a rattle/tap

 

There’s also injector rattle at idle…Lots of little noises in there that we’ve all worried about in the past but ignore until we notice another.😁😢

 

I have had this exact sound in my car before. I do also believe it is normal and the fuel pump operating. I have had rattle noises from my handbrake bolts, an oil pan bolt, loose battery strap bolt, there are about a hundred little noises that happen in this car. In my case, the noise in your video is there sometimes, sometimes it isn't. Confusing, and aggravating none the less.

 

I made another post with a much better clip New video post but I don’t think it could be “diagnosed” at this point. Maybe these cars just make strange noises here and there. In fact maybe most cars do but since their engines are in the front and so insulated you’d never know. Idk
