It’s about time for another decent drive. May 21 to the Rockley Pub via the less travelled scenic route.

It’s been a while since our last group drive. I just did a reconnaissance drive for an Alfa Club run I’m planning and thought, with a slight variation, this would be an ideal drive for the 4Cs. Basically heading towards our old haunts but this time going though Burraga on the way to lunch at Rockley….The road surface is absolutely first class. Just shows what can be done when when a solid foundation is prepared for the logging trucks that ply the roads during the week.
Dog Rocks Road has been completely patched too. It’s in much better condition than this time last year.
Easter School holidays, an Alfa Club drive and Mothers’ Day kind of makes me wary of doing this any earlier, though May 7 could be a date. May 21 is the Sunday following Mothers’Day.
Who’s up for a drive?
Same start location as last time, the cafe car park opposite Richmond RAAF base at 7:30 for an 8AM launch. First stop at Monkey Creek for those who only want to do a short morning run up the Bells Line (though you’ll miss the best part of the drive).

I'd love to come but I am sure I cannot do a 500km round trip in the 4C. Perhaps the part drive.......

Only 400km. Then again, it’s probably a good 50km to the start. Not going quite as far west as Bathurst nor as far south as the Abercrombie River this time. I’ll post a distance measurement of the proposed route. Good to have you along for part of the trip at least! 👍
Edit: Yes, It’ll be about 420km for me… but great exercise for the cars on some very empty roads. How memories are made.
It’s 2.30 in the morning couldn’t sleep grabbed my phone amd see this.
Oh yes baby😍
Need a hard long drive

??? Yes, Gilles27 is an enthusiastic bloke who appreciates a good drive in a good car in good company. A bit far to come from Vic, but you or any other 4C owners are most welcome to come along for the day. These are becoming rarer events but it’s huge fun driving in a group of 4Cs on the type of roads chosen.
Who’s coming on this? I’ve made a tentative booking at the Rockley Pub for eight but there’s no problem adding a few more. Hoping for the weather gods to be more sympathetic on our drive than they were this weekend. I’ll do a mid-week recon on the bike within the fortnight just make sure the roads haven’t been churned up too much. Looking forward to the company.

@Alfanut - would love to join you all if there is a spare spot on the 21st.

Not attending that wedding that Joe and Mark will be at are you? 😉 Sorry not to have you along, Dario. Are the new wheels ordered? I was hoping you might have a surprise for us.

I was hoping you might have the new wheels or front discs to show us. Never the same when someone is missing from the crew on one of these drives.
