Hello all,

Can anyone shed some light on this?

On the options list, there is the special suitcase which presumably fits perfectly into the space rear of the engine. Is there any other luggage space? I read somewhere the front bonnet needs tools to take it off, so is there useable luggage space in there?

Does the car carry a spare tyre or space saver or is it tyre foam filler stuff?

After all the hype of the great looks & performance of the car, just looking at the practicalities now.

Cheers

The front area is strictly mechanical; no luggage space there.

RE: Luggage space & spare tyre?

Here are a couple of screen captures. One is with the boot open and the other of the boot space itself. Unfortunately the one of the boot space is rather black and not very useful, but it's the best there is.

Hi

Here's a picture of the engine bay and trunk area, that i took in Geneva. The quality is far from perfect, but it shows how "much" space there is:

Wow! That's tiny, but yet again, who would want to load anything in there anyway ;)

The groceries on the weekdays and an overnight bag for weekends away! :D:D

And to Darklord, thanks for the pic! That's the best one I've seen on the internet so far!

x2, thanks Darklord and welcome to the forum.

Darklord, do you have any other photos from Geneva that you care to share?

I was reading an article on the Zonda the other day and it mentioned that the storage space is so near the engine that luggage gets incredibly hot...that got me thinking about the luggage space in the 4C. OK they are slightly different displacements :) but the boot is literally right next to the engine. Wonder if eggs could end up being hard boiled on the way back from the shops! Anyone been wondering the same thing?

I think it will get very hot in there, when I had a boxster the back area got very hot and they were well insulated, the 4C looked less well insulated and had very thin carpet. The rear hatch is actually very heavy to lift, I've heard that they tried using gas struts but they kept failing
