With all the active west coast 4C owners on the forum, it would be awesome to pull together a Tour de SoCal. How does a date sometime late February through April sound, after everything is green after the rains. It could be a two or three day event like @John4C’s east coast BSPK recent gathering.

Day 1, Tour of the Santa Monicas. Mulholland, Yerba Buena, Decker, Encinal, Stunt, Piuma.
Day 2. Tour of the western San Gabriels. Little Sycamore, Big Sycamore, Angeles Crest, Glendora Mountain Road, Mount Baldy Road
Day 3 Tour of Big Bear

The photo is from King Gillette Ranch looking west across Mailibu Canyon end of April this year. By May, the flowers start to fade and by June its a hot dusty desert and stays that way through fire season (‘xplaining for the non-locals who might join).

I’ll post a poll on possible dates. Anyone who wants to add some color or suggestions, pipe in pls.

One more thought- Willow Springs Raceway was acquired by a private equity group. They are doing a major track renovation that includes FIA certification. Resurfacing, curbing, runoff, safety, etc. There’s an event Oct 10 “Willow Springs Reimagined” where they’ll spell out the details.

It would be super cool to have a Willow track day be part of this gathering.

Yes Willow Springs sound interesting. I used to test there when I raced a Ford Cortina back in the 70's.

If I could I would. Our Alpine or Coast to the Alps drive is happening in November. I can attest that there is very little to match 3-4 straight days of driving your 4C in company with other 4Cs on empty backroads. All the very best in making this a reality. I hope you get plenty of support. Sounds brilliant. 👍👍

I’m in. Risky time of year with the rain coin flip and I‘d vote for as far from February as we can get away with for that reason, but I’m a team player. Adding a willow springs track day would be awesome. AROSC did their Santa Ynez wine country trip in early April this year and I suspect will do the same next (btw, that’s a fun time) in case we want to avoid collision or even piggyback
