Just seeing this post from Alfa makes me smile! Thank you for your help and support of these great little cars!
i’ve called AlfaCares a couple of times they denied any help to me when I called them the second time the young man on the phone told me the case is closed there’s nothing else to do I asked to speak with his manager and give me his managers name and he said that he is not able to give me his name and he would let him know that I would like to talk to him and it would be up to him if he chooses to call me back or not

Sounds familiar for Alfa Cares. They really haven't been of any assistance beyond saying "I'm sorry" rather often on the calls, however no action with the words. Rather poor customer experience with both dealership and Alfa Cares. Sell at a premium price and then don't support the car/customer to the same price point.

Best of luck.

rndmichaels,
We are certainly sorry to hear about your recent experiences and understand why this would be frustrating. If you could please private message us with your VIN we want to take a further look from our end.

Exactly as I said in my post above theirs, AlfaRomeoCares is great at saying "I'm sorry" (kinda like BP) but they do nothing for action after that. Absolute worthless mfr at customer service.

Hello JSTACOG,
As the social engagement team, we work directly with engineering and brand teams to report developing vehicle concerns in order to pursue further research. However, due to the nature of our team we do not talk to customers on the phone as that is affiliated with a completely different department. While our team collects this information, we are able to connect you with a case specialist who is responsible for working alongside you and your dealer to aid in identifying a resolution.

Now is your chance to buy the Alfaworks upgraded clutch pack. The labor is why the cost is so high. Gotta drop the tranny. I believe I have heard upwards of 30-35 hours of labor.

I am having mine replaced (whole hydraulic shifter part) for about $5k (parts and labor). My car just went out of warranty... Full transmission was about $7.5k (but if i wanted to keep the trany, it was an additional core charge of $2k).

Update on my transmission issue. about four months ago I had the transmission replaced in my 2015. Have not been able to drive it since then due to weather in my area headed out couple of weeks ago put around 4 to 500 miles on it over a couple weekends and the brand new transmission broke down again. They are telling me that it was an internal issue from when it was assembled. Luckily there are four transmissions here in USA so I am able to at least get a replacement

Wondering if it is a 'transmission' or 'relate part/electronics' issue.
Off topic a bit but related on proper diagnosis. Years ago had a c32 AMG (miss her) where the car went back to the dealerships 20+ times (no exaggeration) since the power would get reduced to virtual standstill with slight wheel slippage. Back and forth to 3 different MB dealerships (who all did not listen to my suggestion -replace the water pump as it was incorrectly mounted sideways vs vertically and would not send cool enough fluid and engine would go into limp mode). What did they do? Replace everything else including a new $13k Supercharger! Problem still persisted! I changed/modified the water pump ...guess what :p

That is what I have been wondering all along. Since there isn’t many of these around I’m wondering about the Alpha techs abilities to diagnose and work on these vehicles. This will make a second brand new transmission in this car and this car only has 28,000 miles on it. I read all the time how these transmissions are rocksolid.

Probably a misdiagnosed. Something similar happened with Porsche when they rolled out the PDK. Most of the issues were electronic gremlins that were misdiagnosed and they just ended up replacing the entire transmissions.
