Hi guys

Just out if the factory tour and thought I would share this.

We saw 3 LE with US specs (rear bumperettes) and they both had spider headlights.

As our guide said the US LE will have differents specs Than EU.

Also saw a lot of RHD LE coming out of the plant ;)

Good news for the UK guys waiting for LEs. I'll be in a batch well after that I presume. :(. US spec will be significantly heavier I understand with extra airbags etc.

Hi screensmoke,
at my Modena tour there was an us-version on the line.
And I am sure it had a leather dash and door cards.
We got very close and discussed with the tour guide.
Also there was the red stitching.

Perhaps an option??

It wouldn't involve them working twice as fast. The takt time is 2250 seconds and it would stand. The doubling, which is already factored in, would involve a second shift on the main assembly line. Currently, they work on a single shift per day, 5 days per week.

Your takt time of 2250 seconds equates to almost 38minutes.

Alfa in a press release a while back said:

In this plant, innovation combines first of all with people's passion, which then translates into discipline and determination to succeed. The operator's touch adds value to the product, so much so that this plant's operating modes deviate from the "mass production" logics in favour of a decidedly more handicraft dimension. Suffice it to think that the minimum 'takt time' (the manufacturing speed needed to guarantee delivery) is of 20 minutes: this is an indicator of the plant distinctiveness as opposed to the "mass production plants" in which the shortest 'tackt time' is approximately of 50 seconds.

Now thats almost half the amount of time you quoted. Clearly Maserati is in no rush to build as many as they can then. Find it odd tho as there are a lot of orders on the books and still A LOT of LE owners that has not taken delivery.
