This is the video from my on-board camera for the track day.
To keep the paint on each vehicle matching the original on the cars at the start of the day, gentleman's rules for overtaking were enforced - only pass on the back and front straights, or when waved through & don't be a dickhead.
Session 1 Start - 6:57
Highlights:
1:24 White 4C can go faster than a red one
2:24 Tuned red 4C can go faster than a non-tuned red one
6:34 Race exhaust cannot be that noisy if pedestrian fails to notice 4C sneaking up behind him.
Session 2 (part 1) 6:58-10:33
Highlights:
7:52 Alfa1105 does a demonstration on how to almost exit stage left finding the grip level of a cold track with cool tyres
8:49 Oversteer moment and correction
9:32 Aston Martin V8 does reverse parking demonstration at 160+ km/h (100+ mph) - centre of shot creates sand plume and ends up perched on top of my steering wheel (not literally) with the back of the car just a few metres from the tyre barrier. Brings session to a temporary halt. Car and driver OK - cannot comment on the condition of his under garments. Car & driver returned in session 3.
Session 2 (part 2) 10:34 - 14:53
Highlights:
10:34 Clear track. - Turn 2 shows tyre tracks in sand where Aston Martin V8 was plucked from the beach
13:20 Tuned Abarth with driver that knows the track
14:19 Alfanut overtakes after checkered flag - race stewards give him a ten place grid penalty for the next session

16:24 Alfanut chasing down a fast Porsche
17:23 Following a white Porsche for a bit
Session 4 19:11 - end
19:11 Only a few cars stopped on for the final session = clear track = lots of fun
21:37 Non-tuned 4C Coupe Vs non-tuned 4C Spider
I did not drop a Hyabusa crate motor into my 4C for this track day, video has been sped up to add to the drama and reduce the chances of me falling asleep watching it. It looks like I was out for a Sunday drive at normal speed.
Track is Wakefield Park, near Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia.
Wakefield Park Raceway | The Nation's Spectator Track
It was 3 degrees C in the morning and got up to 10 degrees C during the day and windy throughout, track temperature remained cool making it sometimes difficult to get enough heat into the tyres in the first few laps of each session.
My Spider is stock tune, with +1 on the tyre sizes 18/19 wheels Michelin S/S.
All of the 4C's performed flawlessly on the day and the tuned 4C's were giving the P cars a good run as the straights were not long enough for the extra HP available to the P cars to make much of a difference.
Thanks for a great day out fellas - I hope you had as much fun in your 4C's as I did. Considering I had never driven that track before, and we couldn't get any instruction due to COVID-19 restrictions, I think we all did OK.
Looking forward to the next drive.
Alfanut - Please pass on our thanks to the AROCA and VRA organisers and volunteers that made the day safe and a lot of fun.
Cheers,
Alf.
