There is a reason all these funky cars with wonky drivers try to aggravate us 4C drivers, and its a flattering reason. Its nice to own the road once in a while. Alfa Romeo nailed this car. They nailed it. When a 4C is coming down the road, its 1960's Sophia Loren, or a modern Monica Bellucci. You can't ignore it just as you can't ignore an escaped panther from the local zoo. The proof is in the pudding, whatever the hell that means.

Try, “the proof of the pudding is in the eating”.....and our 4Cs can eat most others. You’re so right about it. I think it gets the heart-rate going in quite a few who see it on the road.

Alfa have recaptured the essence of their glory days with the 4C.
The 105 series,Zagatos and all the cars before that were icons of the industry which I thought were gone forever have been recaptured by the 4C.
Most drivers of a myriad of other lesser cars suffer from severe jaw dropping when sighting a 4C.
Well that's what I imagine anyway!

So we speak-a the same language:

Beemer = BMW motorcycle
Bimmer = BMW automobile

Beemer people are some of the most down-to-earth people I've met. They use their bikes and live for the inconvenience brought to them by something so in touch with the driving experience. They seem to always have hardshell cases on their bikes -- ready for that road trip.

Bimmer people think they are something special, and the 3-series people really, really think they've 'arrived.' Broadly speaking of course. It's not all of them, but a disproportionate percentage of them. Just... ugh. A lease-special 3-series boosts the odds of being an asshat greatly

I just scanned this entire thread and unless I missed it no one mentioned taxi drivers!
Here in Vegas we avoid anyone with a California license plate. ( Lost, distracted, and pissed about their casino losses)
SUVs, Monster trucks own the road in their own minds, Prius with something to prove, Soon to be DUIs, drivers with their lights off, etc....
Keep in mind not only are our cars small, but 98% have no idea what it is. That's why mine is LOUD and yellow.

I bet bikers have way more in common with 4C owners..

;)

Yes, we do. I’m both. Much less bike riding since the 4C turned up. Edit: Steering kick and handlebar flick have much in common.

I was driving home this morning after taking my wife shopping in town, one route towards our village is very sunken on the verge side, it goes up and down considerably, but it's a straight fast road if you drive down the middle. So the road was clear in front so I was doing about 75 when this M4 series BMW got past the slower cars behind me and was literally 6 inches of my backend at that speed, The way he was driving like expecting me to pull over so he could pass, but at that speed it would be crazy going through the troughs and undulations (poor suspension) so I held my ground and my wife was quite worried hanging on and saying don't go into the side part. I hate tailgaters at that speed!!

I never let anyone tailgate me. If they can’t pass, I slow down to a crawl. Eventually they get the picture.

In Florida, data will also support the obvious:
1. Nissan/Infinity
2. Nissan/Infinity
3. Used Big Engined Germans
4. Kias/Hyundais
5. Work Trucks
I4 here in FL has been on and off USA's MOST LETHAL road (yes, including Alaskan ice roads, Puerto Rico's mudslide mountain highways), and in 2016 ranked "top 5 world's most dangerous road" because of accident rate, insurance claims, and fatalities. Main culprit "at-fault" marque for claims in this (stupid) "no-fault state"?
1. Nissan/Infinity (sporty/suv models)
Driving one of these has a crazy multiplyer to the insurance, even more than Ferrari... Much more. The lowest was a tie of several beigemobile models like Volvos and Saabs, but including the surprising Jeep Wrangler! (if you're wondering) Tesla was among them, but now on the rise, curiously.

It may seem to you that a marque magnetic to morons sounds like a fallacy or some brain trick, but your insurance company does indeed have the statistics on this, which you might be able to ask for, and it is more than a correlation. How? My guess is Marketing and the ethos of a marque's supposed "status endowment" to their owners.

Aggression and suppressed/unknown capability are the two keystones of any d-baggery, and Nissan/BMW/Audi/Benz and other "owning this means rich and powerful" models serve such attitudes/state of minds directly, providing a mass produced appliance with a "SPORTY!" sticker on it fail to enable their buyers. Like Mustangs... Why are they usually the culprit of sliding into crowds? These d-bag models are always too heavy, too highly powered, and such low/non-existent track/autocross capability. Add in CG marketing of it drifting elegantly, making loud noises, and endorse them at sporting events. Recipe for making morons out of what could be encouraged into solid drivers.

I can't tell you how many times I hear some aggressive, self-entitled delusional talk about how "fast"/"great" their insert any big engined/SUV/bolt on zombie here - only to be proven when they respond "no, I've never had instruction, been to a track yet, but I will and I beat a lambo just the other day..." or they finally totaled their car or curbed the wheels. When autonomous cars replace the need to drive a car and flying becomes the cool, rich thing to do, I am hoping this sort of usual boring petulance drops to zero as sports car ownership will be earned and "nerdy" instead of some imagined status milestone for anyone with a lucky break/opportunity.

Chevy Suburban!!! No other vehicle encourages you to be so completely disconnected from the task of driving. The official car of texting, make-up applying, Egg McMuffin eating, child scolding soccer moms everywhere.

An old ML350 I used to have had a broken off rear window washer nozzle. When I would go to use it it would just shoot straight out the back. That was the absolute best thing I ever had an any car!! Any tailgaters would just immediately get sprayed and back off :p
