The redline oil you specified should be ok for the 4c, it’s 75-85w viscosity and GL4. How did you drain refill and check the correct level?

But I now suspect the battery.
Do I need to recalibrate the transmission when changing the oil? Car has 12k miles now.. 2015 LE.

The dodge hornet and AR tonale uses the same trans.

 

The Hornet GT uses a 9 speed hydraulic transmission originally designed by ZF. The Hornet R/T uses a 6 speed hydraulic transmission made by AISIN. Neither model uses the TCT made by FPT used in the 4C.

 

Although I’m a fan of Motul oils, I would be reluctant to use the Motul MF Fluid in the TCT system (even though it says it is a substitute for Tutela CS Speed) as it doesn’t have a classified viscosity…

Wtf? 😂 The only things common with these transmissions are them both transferring the rotational energy from engine to the wheels and both identifying as "trans" in general.

I use the OEM Mopar fluid. The one that says it's designed for Alfa Romeo 4C and Dodge Sprint shift (a.k.a shitshift) transmissions on the back label. That gear oil is actually red... Just a cool fact.But in general the 70w85 from Tutela, redline and Motul are all good.



You have to measure the fluid when filling up the transmission. There isn't way to check the fluid level correctly.

The Tonale plug-in hybrid uses an AISIN 6 speed hydraulic transmission the same as the Hornet R/T, afaik.
