You're driving way too slowly. My guess is that the Alfa police are onto you and will probably confiscate the car soon.

Seriously though... if you're changing gears manually it might be that you're trying to up-shift, or down-shift outside of the programmed parameters.

Yeah, the most common beep is from trying to shift from second to third and the s/w won't let you.

But I think you would be aware of this if you were trying?

 

Also consider not opening and closing the door so much while you are driving... :grin2:

 

I've noticed a similar "feature" when I drove up the coast on Friday. I finally figured it was when I was trying to change up and not going fast enough. ie wouldn't go from 4 -> 5 below about 80kmh or if the change would drop revs in in-coming gear to below ~1700 revs.
So basically just need to have higher revs before changing gear.


If you want another really annoying sound - try driving off without your seatbelt on.......!!

Thanks for the replies! Yep, I think I was trying to change up too early. Too many 60kph zones around here!

 

She won't let you over-rev or under-rev the motor. If you try, or forget, she gets real annoyed and beeps at you in that nagging wife way. Just slap her on the ass and drive her harder.

 

I just tried that and my wife won't speak to me now.
