:D
Actually, the authentic writeup for cruising, dropping a gear and flooring it in a 4C would be something like : budbudbud-click-clunk-hiiissssschooOO0AAArpsch
Never heard quite a mechanical orchestra like it in a car before ;-)
Look forward to hearing those sounds. :D:D

Sorry to offend or risk offending. I was actually asking an honest question based on a comment that I have seen a couple of times in this forum, but was a bit surprise about -- perhaps "stereotype" was the wrong word.

It would be one thing to say "those buying a Ghibli (since Maserati was brought up in another example) are very different from those buying a 4c", but I was surprised by the comment those looking at the cayman vs. the 4c would be "different". I'm just trying to figure out from an enthusiast, occasional track day type person, etc. point of view, what characteristics might sway a person one way or another - esp since I am considering both as realistic options (along with the F-type coupe) (and I don't have multiple personality disorder :D).

djwang. This is probably the best video I have seen of test of 4c with some comparison at the end to all the cars you mentioned. Italian with English subtitles.

There are others like the Top Gear test that go into each of the cars, but this one has good detail on the 4c while mentioning and comparing the others.

(are you a professional comic book writer?) ;)
I wish! Love reading them though. Including Vaillant, but I'm actually more into the late and great Franquin and colleagues.

To make this back to topic (soooort of) : Franquin drew fantasy cars for his hero Spirou.
They were turbine cars called the Turbot Rhino1 and Rhino2. A Belgian family actually contacted a spin off of Carrozzeria Touring in Milano and had them made in real life.

Now you mention it. And wasn't BAT5 propelled by a 4 Cilindri 1900? Finally full circle. Would be great if it had Cayman leather :p

10 year bump:D

The induction noise of that Spider would sh*t me up no end if I had to live with it. It dominates the engine and exhaust excessively.

Difficult to drive? He must be kidding. Maybe the blocks really do weigh things up. Rudi’s front end wishbones add that front end feel and stability without the weighting up of the blocks the but unless you have adjustable dampers you might regret what you wish for if you live around roads with coarse bitumen.
Nice find, Tib.

Fair review. I have both and love both. They are very different mid-engine sports cars cars and that is precisely why having both is good for me- they provide a change of pace.

I thought he was a little exaggerating on how heavy the 4C steering is. Really? It's not that heavy.

I would love to have a Cayman GT4. If there was no 4 C this would be my car. I actually traded in a 911 Turbo for my 4C at Porsche of Englewood.

Hi DjWang, that helps to answer your question.
Have a look at this tread:
http://4c-forums.com/27-usa/985-what-cars-did-you-considering.html

Other cars my schizophrenic mind considered are:
Mercedes CLA 45 AMG --> did not pursuit, since too common and looks just like the base model
Corvette --> again, cool car, great value for money, but as exclusive as a mini cooper and my heart just does not go out to it
Audi S5 --> I like the car, but the model is running its last year(s)
Jag F Type --> I would buy a Porsche instead, since I have always been a Porsche fan. But I do like the jag

If I can not get my hands on the 4C with the original lights I will go for one of the following options:

1. keep my money in the bank and continue to have fun with my Mini Cooper S convertible
2. Used Porsche 911 (2009-2011):
3. Boxster (2013): Still tempted, but I fear that I will regret, not buying a 911
4. M3/M4

How's that for not knowing what I want besides a 4C? ;)
I've had an M4 Competition and a 911 Turbo. The M4 was a beast, the 911 tame for what it is.
