There's a 4c listed on Copart as a running and driving car. However, it is listed as having undercarriage damage, does this mean the carbon tub is damaged?

Is this a safe buy?

Doc Type: TX - SALVAGE VEHICLE TITLE
Odometer: 40,353 mi (ACTUAL)
Seller:Farmers Insurance
Primary Damage:UNDERCARRIAGE
Secondary Damage:MINOR DENT/SCRATCHES
Est. Retail Value:$42,977 USD

Hmmm, it's a salvage title so it's already been written off likely from the damage. If you are expecting/wanting an already 'ready to go' car, then no. If you are wanting a project or something to gut to turn into a race car, then you'll likely be able to pick it up cheap.

Maybe or maybe not. 1/3 of the undercarriage is carbon tub -- the middle. The front and rear are aluminum.

You need to resolve the question with the seller... BUT REALISTICALLY: an actual paid inspector that YOU hire independently.

Advice like this that I am giving is like spitting into the wind. I give it anyway.

Glossary:

Seller = Liar
Inspector you did not hire personally = Liar

Someone answering the phone to answer your remote questions: Liar
Someone taking pics and sending them to you to show you how nice: Someone who is lying about why they have a potato phone with resolution of 20x20 pixels

Just to be clear.
