Alpine HU - CD not working

Hi guys,

I picked up my brand new 4C in August and noticed the CD player in the Alpine 148EBT head unit is not working, i.e. I can't insert a cd in it....it won't suck it in.

Sure you say, who uses a CD these days but nevertheless I wanted to know if anyone else has had that problem. I haven't taken it back to the dealer yet mainly coz we have been in COVID lockdown and they were closed and only re-opened last week.

What CD player in the head unit? Could explain why it’s not working and every CD you try to insert ends up in shattered bits. 😉

Not sure I follow your question. The Alpine has a CD player in it, i.e. press a button and the front panel tilts down so you can insert a CD.

So it can't insert or doesn't play after insertion? Either way, it's a cheap unit and would cost very little for the dealer to replace under warranty. A photo of your unit please, just to confirm we are talking about the same one.

Can't insert. Yeah will take to dealer. Bluetooth and everything else works pretty well but gotta get a subwoofer. I need bass!!
