Another Spider Hardtop?

Just out of curiosity is anyone interested in a lower cost, more durable, lightweight, better insulated but probably not as pretty as the carbon fiber hardtop for the 4C Spider?

The reason I ask is a couple of people and myself were thinking about making 10 or so using some new technology.

I completely agree on the rain lip and coming up with a smoother edge.

The two other obvious areas are filling in the gap across the front of the roof and the windshield frame. Some cars need a bit of filler and other cars need a bigger gap because of the variability in the production of our cars. The second area I really want to fix is the gap where the windshield, the front of either side window and the hardtop all come together. Right now that has way too much wind noise.

What do you guys think about a fabric material on the inside of the top instead of having it solid. I was thinking some sort of noise dampening that also insulated that looked nice. I want to reduce the temperature of the inside surface of the top when it's sunny out. It would be great to soak up some of the noise as well.

As far as price goes, if it is NOT carbon fiber it should be done considerably cheaper and probably not that much heavier. The materials I am look at can be painted or laminated so a fake carbon fiber could be applied for looks.
