It's about finding the right wheel/divorce balance
Tell me about it. I try to justify it this way….I have one track set, a touring set, I’ll call these my sprint/show set and then there’s the spare set. 😂

Alfanut's set make's me also consider another set......Love that color...and it's a 17/18 inch set up...Maybe next year if this is still going on....(even the same tires...just looks perfect to me...)
Here’s a shot in full sun, Tib.

Do'nt know what it is, but your car looks very attractive to me....i keep watching the wheels/calipers/wheelgap....the nose a little down... really, just perfect. Nice (y)(y)
I wish she could hear that, Tibby. Thanks.

Having lunch at Colo Riverside (again😂) . Gotta say the Michelin Pilot Super Sports are a good tyre. Comfortable enough and nicely pointy. They make you point to where you want to go when you want them to with great feed-back. The Contis grip nicely too with lots of feel. I’m not one for mixing tyre brands but this combo is good. Both tyres have similar characteristics (round, wide and black😂). The GMS front end helps too I’m sure. An acceptable combination, with nice balance. They look pretty good on the wheels too.

About the wheels: Really happy with the offset. Not too aggressive and no scraping of guards (so far). In my case I think there is no necessity to go wider with the tyres. I’ve lost 1kg or more of unsprung weight at each wheel. Adding tyre weight by going wider for little practical effect on the road and costing massively more makes little sense to this retiree.

To @John4C, thank you for your advice and patience. These wheels are beyond my wildest dreams. Simply brilliant. The offsets suit my purpose
and the colour? Yep….it does it for me. Cheers…You’re a genius. 👌👍

Two readily apparent negatives:
1. That exposed inside rim area is going to need a lot of cleaning.

2. Might have to go 215/245 simply for ground clearance. There’s a rake effect making the nose even lower than the quarter inch height reduction from the smaller sidewall of the front Super Sports. Another suspension fiddle might be needed….Then again that might screw things up for the Cup2s.

@Alfanut looks amazing! Love the colour combo.
these almost look like 18/19s in the photos - must be slightly lower profile on the fronts, seems to make the rears look even bigger

The Pilot Super Sports are 205/45x17 but have a lower profile than the Cup2 and P-Zeros of the same size. I wasn’t expecting this.

@Let_it_snow The Brushed Champagne on your car is looking pretty phenomenal. My 4C is Rosso Competizione with the Tobacco interior. I've been thinking bronze wheels would look great but now I'm really liking the Brushed Champagne. I think it would complement my color scheme well.

This is RC/Tobacco with Brushed Champagne (Gloss). I’m a fan personally 👍🏻

There’s a slightly darker brushed bronze version as well actually (pics not the best, but it’s a little darker tone, basically)

Not sure what gold color to go with on a rosso alfa... the matrix gold seems too light. Anyone have some more 18/19 setup pictures? TIA

No, it’s not. It doesn’t photograph accurately. If anything it’s still a little dark to my eye. It is still slightly darker in realty than in the shade in this photo.

100% agree. I have it on my winter wheels. It’s darker than most photographs make it seem. It’s a satin finish thing. They photograph lighter.

How gold do you want if you’re saying darker than matrix gold? There’s bronze gloss and bronze satin. There’s also Matrix Gold gloss coming soon for someone (but it’s more like the light matrix gold photos so not sure that’s what you want). There’s also some more “pure gold” solids.

There’s a few brushed colors that would go really well with Rosso Alfa. Brushed Celestial Gold is what I would do if you wanted a gold wheel that complemented the tone of a Rosso Alfa. There’s some others coming (Brushed Bronze first examples are finally almost ready) but I’m smitten with brushed celestial gold personally (I have it on another car and I’m amazed at how many compliments I get on the wheels). It’s satin and there is someone who has it on a 4C (I’m not going to call anyone out though). There’s another 4C set coming too.

I need to really start posting more of the colors in one place. Maybe this weekend I’ll dig through my photos a bit.
