This is good news, my tranny has been acting up again, even in auto. Need to set up a service appt. Armed with more knowledge then ever before, me thinks the woes will be a thing of the past. Apparently my glass is half full at present. Fran

Well my car is the shop for the tranny issue, made them aware of the patch and am pushing for that, called to check on status and was told they are replacing the accelerator peddle, that's a new twist to the mix. Should get it back tomorrow and see what's what. It's all amazing!!! Fran

I do have an LE, January 2015 build. My first failure was at about 67 miles, hot day in traffic, manual mode, transmission icon appeared, check engine light as well and the no gears available message. After many repeated starts I was able to get underway. This situation occurred maybe 4 times more, in manual, race mode. Also occurred when using the stock ECU.
After the dealer visit all seemed good, car shifted way better then before, very much improved. Generally I like to drive in dynamic/ manual mode or race mode. Btw the car only has about 2350 miles on it. The latest failures, while not as severe as my first issue renders the car into limp mode, with the transmission icon and CEL lights illuminated. One restart will clear the transmission icon and get me out of limp mode allowing me to drive the car in natural mode only. Three or four restarts clears the CEL, and all is good until the next time. This has occurred at stop lights as well as when in motion, mostly in manual mode, but also in auto mode. It does seem to manifest itself more on hot days, waiting to hear from the service dept. later today. Fran

I don't suspect it is wear, with only 60 something miles on the clock and end up without gears on an Interstate, it's hardly a wear issue. Terminals are fine, never an issue starting, if I knew the root of the problem, I would certainly tell the mechanic to fix it. There is a very real problem, where it is I do not know, and have not been driving with reckless abandon. The cars built prior to Feb. 2015 according to the link posted elsewhere in this thread may have an issue with heat and may warrant a reflash of the BCM.
