Do U think the Race Ecu caused the transmission failure?
Difficult to say. Car has 77000km, so is this the time for the clutch to be worn? Going from 240bhp to 300bhp will not help, I guess :wink2:.

But like all Italian (and British) cars, it has the ability to heal itself. Though we have to admit they get sick for no reason as well... :|.

Nevertheless, the race ECU is a wonderful thing. That there are some issues to be solved in this first stage, was to be expected.
Jamie told me there is a learning period, similar to the one that prevents the 4C to use Dynamic in the first mileage. So maybe had a hiccup caused by that? Who knows.

I'll keep you posted how I get along...

Thanks for all the advice, guys!

Out of warranty :crying:. Already had a dead turbo, alternator and aircon since...

Now she drives in all gears again. Only the engine warning goesn't go out and she's stuck in Normal mode.

Does anybody have experience with ODBLink MX Wifi. Connects to your iPhone.

Can it read, and most of all clear the same codes as a Foxwell or similar?

I have one. Though I haven’t had the need to clear codes on the alpha yet. Have on my Miata. Just the code from an ill fitting gas cap.

Back to errors, neutral, in gear but not connected, Natural mode, CEL, ... :crying:
Ordered an OBD. And otherwise it's of tho the dealer. Or to Jamie's, if I get that far

OBD could clear the engine light, but not much more.

Just back from the dealer. All transmission codes cleared. Drove like a charm.
Now, would I dare to put my race ECU back??? >:)>:)

Did the dealer tell what code it was and what the caused it? Reinstall the Race Ecu and enjoy the power once again ?

I'd leave it stock for a while and drive her, a lot. Wait and see what happens. If it comes back, try to pay attention to all the conditions and variables. Air temp, humidity, traffic, DNA mode, etc, etc...

If you can put on 1,000 miles in a month or two. If you have no issues, swap out the ECU and do it all over again.

"Did the dealer tell what code it was and what the caused it?" Please, do tell all.

Same problem again. Tomorrow to the dealer again. Like another mechanic told me: clearing codes is one thing, finding the source another... Forgot to ask a print out of the codes. Will do tomorrow. One was definitely ‘failure to open valve’.

OK, back from the dealer. Problem occurs after 20min highway driving, so seems like something heating up.

Errors read from 'TCM':
TCM P291A-92 Double gear engagement not desired - Performance or incorrect operation - Status Stored
TCM P0915-36 2nd/4th engagement position sensor. Signal frequency too low - Status Active

Errors read from 'All DTCs':
BCM B1067-67 VDSM (Vehicle Dinamic System Module) C CAN signal - Signal incorrect after event => guess this one is the connector of not fitting well, as they must have broken it a previous time...
TCM P291A-92 Double gear engagement not desired - Performance or incorrect operation
TCM P0915-36 2rd/4th engagement position sensor - Signal frequency too low

Now the waiting starts....
And I have a trackday on friday. Aaaarrrrghghhghgh.....

Good luck. What did they offer you as a loaner car?

Dealer thinks it’s the robot (actuator?) on the gearbox. Checken the oil and wasn’t OK. Didn’t drive it though as they are already working a week on the turbo (???).
Did anybody have a similar problem with this before?

That’s already great news.

Though, if it’s true they worked a week on changing the turbo, I guess the engine was almost out. They took it out the previous time because a screw didn’t want to loose (?) but did a bad job in putting it back. Now that turbo would have problems (which I also dought) they are trying to do the job right.
Wait and see. And than get Jamie change the turbo the way it should ?.
