Weird vibration in the pedal after timing belt change.

I took my car in to get the timing belt and water pump replaced. I also had them install my V2 intake while it was all apart.

After getting my car back I felt some weird vibrations in the pedal, and it can even be felt a little on the floor of the tub. I also can hear what sounds like a weird pump noise coming from the front, as well as some water(?) swishing around on initial cold starts, also from the front.

The sounds could be from the back, but it just really sounds like the front. I'm going to have my partner start it later and I'll put my ear on the hood to see if anything comes through that way.

When I took it back to the dealership and left it for a day, they said that it was the V2 intake vibrations being felt, since there are no supports like the original intake. That sounds fishy.

They did the work a week before I moved. I've since moved. So I'm in a new state. I thought about taking it to the alfa dealership here and seeing what they find. But thought I'd ask advice on here first.

Weird vibrations in brake pedal or go pedal?

Possible there are bubbles and more resistance in the coolant hoses, as draining and getting the bubbles out of the cooling system, which runs front and back, is noted as a pain in the butt. Bubbles in the cooling lines would cause vibrations and shuddering to some extent. To get real vibrations in the pedals? Meh.

V2 intake could actually be it.

The swirling noise on a first start up sounds like there is air in the cooling system, just like Philster already mentioned. Unfortunately this is very common when the cooling system is not bled properly. The air gets trapped inside a heater core and usually on a cold start it starts moving in there and making this swirling noise.

What it comes to vibration, I would guess that the engine side mount (which is being removed for the service) was not installed in the same / proper location than before the service. Take a look at the side mount on the passenger side and see if the old nut position marks are visible. If so, the mount is most likely causing this. There is nothing under the front hood that would suddenly cause a vibration after a service. But I guess on a extreme cases the cooling system being full or air could do some other noises than just swirling.

Does your heat work in the cabin?

Thanks
