Hello Folks,
So last week when I got home after a healthy 1 hour drive on the highway I noticed the engine didn't stop for 2-3 seconds after turning off the ignition. As I was curious I started the engine after a minute to see if it starts and turn off the same way, so started the engine and check engine popped right up!
Hooked my OBD reader and it came with P0571 "Brake switch A circuit". I reset the code and made sure the brake sensor connector under the pedal is tight. I left it alone for a few days as I had other things to do, Today decided to go out for another ride to see how it goes. Everything was smooth as always even driving in dynamic. Tested the brake lights and cruise control deactivation by a slight touch of brake pedal and all seemed fine. So far the brake pedal switch seems to be working fine and no errors while driving the car.
Parked the car and noticed the same behavior of engine running 2-3 seconds after turning off. Turned it back on and the check engine came back on, hooked OBD reader again and this time showing P0628 "Fuel pump A control circuit low voltage".
I know it could be the battery since I am seeing very random codes and the errors referring to circuit voltage. Also my car is a 2016 Spider with original untouched battery so I am hoping that is the cause, but thinking about it, the car starts just fine even after two weeks of sitting idle so that part scares me maybe there is something other than battery!
For now I will check battery terminals and voltage tomorrow and put it on the charger over night to see how it goes.
If anyone has any suggestions or went through something similar will appreciate the inputs.
