Theres a new special edition 4C in town even though the model was discontinued in 2020 and this Nicola Larini edition pays homage to the race driver himself and the Alfa 155V6 TI he became champion in!
I'm not a big fan of the design, both in terms of color and overall—it looks more like a crashed 4C with spare parts from another 4C in a different color bolted on. But it's certainly a highlight for collectors. However, two things caught my attention:
1. The special models are delivered with Michelin tires, which I would have preferred for our models as well.
2. This special edition allows you to see the exact position and dimensions of where Alfa would have officially placed the quadrifoglio emblem. Since I've installed some myself, I'll check it again and adjust it if necessary![]()
The placement was known long ago:I was looking at this for shield placement as well.. it seems the placement is different from the yellow car to the red😕
Precisely. Nothing but a cosmetic job and charging overs for it … way over. If anyone can view it (them) in reality please look at the date on the build plaque. If it had a special plaque from Larini, I guess paying a slight premium would be ok. Other than some exterior and interior updates , I don’t see why it’s so special. I get that uaing Larinin’s name is special. He’s been an alfa touring car champion from the days of the 75 Turbo Evoluzione all the way up to the 156 Superturissmo. But otherwise it’s just a milking exercise IMHO. I think the least they could have done is contact Rudi and have GMS put something goodies on.
