Theres a new special edition 4C in town even though the model was discontinued in 2020 and this Nicola Larini edition pays homage to the race driver himself and the Alfa 155V6 TI he became champion in!

I'm not a big fan of the design, both in terms of color and overall—it looks more like a crashed 4C with spare parts from another 4C in a different color bolted on. But it's certainly a highlight for collectors. However, two things caught my attention:
1. The special models are delivered with Michelin tires, which I would have preferred for our models as well.
2. This special edition allows you to see the exact position and dimensions of where Alfa would have officially placed the quadrifoglio emblem. Since I've installed some myself, I'll check it again and adjust it if necessary :)

I've always liked yellow ochre (a historic color), but I would have made her all yellow, without the white nose/tail. The wheels painted that way are beautiful, and I would have liked the interior (perhaps a yellow insert on the door panels), BUT it had to be leather, for me.

I was looking at this for shield placement as well.. it seems the placement is different from the yellow car to the red😕
The placement was known long ago:

Well a contrarian point…didn’t a 4c Tributo sell for $200k and isn’t it “just paint” with same specs (yes I understand the carbon fiber monocoque is red, but isn’t that “just a tint”)? And it was used… And don’t people wax poetic about how much more these cars would be worth (as is) if only people knew or understood what they are?
So someone made a special by painting some leftover inventory for n some unique color schemes. Might not be for everyone but my o my some of vitriol is real ver the top!

Yep….It looks fabulous….And people will pay overs to have something with rarity but nothing different performance-wise. If I bought the one I was offered (new) I’d have never used it, which to me defeats the entire purpose of 4C ownership. The thing was created for driving enjoyment which it has delivered to me by the spadeful….after a few suspension mods..which you couldn’t do to a Tributo…and keep its value.

If it had a special plaque from Larini, I guess paying a slight premium would be ok. Other than some exterior and interior updates , I don’t see why it’s so special. I get that using Larini’s name is special. He’s been an alfa touring car champion from the days of the 75 Turbo Evoluzione all the way up to the 156 Superturissmo. But otherwise it’s just a milking exercise IMHO. I think the least they could have done is contact Rudi and have GMS put some goodies on.

Precisely. Nothing but a cosmetic job and charging overs for it … way over. If anyone can view it (them) in reality please look at the date on the build plaque.

@N355DT , Not all collector cars turn a profit… I’d suggest the Larini edition will be one of those. In my money it’s $300,000AU for a slightly tarted up 4C. No trick suspension, no carbon body panels, no enhanced aero or engine mods befitting the Larini name. Stellantis did this limited edition in the cheapest way it could…all cosmetic. The truest rare of the rare, no doubt do, but many don’t. The only thing that makes this rare is the paint, upholstery and a copy of a signature…, and a €185,000 entry price for bragging rights.
But then again, if a critical mass of collectors sees the value in it for no other reason than its perceived rarity then good luck to them. I think that last (Larini) edition was a clever move to tap into the collector market and rake in a few extra bucks/Euro. As something to drive it is no better than any LE/SE with a race pack. Call me a cynic, especially when it comes to Stellantis.

on 23 rd october i’ll be at “Auto e moto d’epoca “ show in Bologna .
Could be possible that alfa romeo would show one of these Laurini collection, as they did some years ago for the new 33 stradale and the one off 4c ultima ( white and cyan)

in case i’ll give you my idea about something that i would never pay that much….
