I bought the Stebel Nautilus compact which is still in the box with the wiring adapter. But in the end I just bought the Mito dual horn. No mods needed. The 4C horn is shameful.
It's single tone and awful. I am going to try and install the second tone and give it some decent sound. That said location of horn may require frunk/bumper removal?..
Idk that the oem horn had a gender, but I did swap it out, no further mods needed and using an antigravity battery for over a year no faults or issues whatsoever, with the red jeep horns when i replaced my front bumper. Train horns make ppl move, stop being stupid, and/or never think the 4c is the one honking. Unfortunately FL has clone armies of forever angry hotheads so the horn set off some moron to road rage on an unsuspecting fellow truck driver with a baseball bat (who had two handymen inside so... how stupid can immature testosterone get) even though the little-leauger double parked and had blocked traffic... but so far all positive effects that keeps most further from 4c. For more positives, weeded drivers react well too, as they actually hear the horn and slow down, stop doing whatever high bs they were doing and let me by.
10/10 replace for the jeep train horn things sold at 4wd parts, quadratec, or local jeep/truck outfitter. Easy splice, same amp draw i think, loudness needs no sustained pressing anyways, scares small hotheads much like my 3", 200-cpsi straight pipe.
My friggen automatic Milano sounds more Italian than the ridiculous 4C horn. Agree it is embarrassing I need to get around to that. Especially when driving around with people not looking.
